Having served as a trusted trade consultant for our clients for over 14 years, Christopher brings a practical, multidisciplinary perspective to trade law, including complex customs valuation, internal audits, country of origin, export controls, regulatory compliance, anti-corruption, and trade disputes involving financial and accounting issues.

Before joining Schulz Trade Law, Christopher held senior consulting roles focused on forensic accounting, investigations, dispute consulting, and regulatory compliance. His career has consistently involved working with clients, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and decision-makers on matters where legal strategy, financial analysis, accounting records, and compliance obligations overlap.

Christopher has advised companies, boards, management teams, in-house counsel, and outside counsel in complex matters involving regulatory compliance, financial investigations, corporate disputes, and other high-stakes business challenges. He brings significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams of attorneys, accountants, finance professionals, forensic consultants, and technology specialists.

Christopher’s practice included, among other areas, FCPA and anti-corruption issues, ITAR/export controls, import/export regulation, fraud risk, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and other regulatory issues. He has led and managed complex investigations and data-intensive reviews involving financial records, accounting systems, electronic documents, witness interviews, and management reporting. His experience includes investigations and reviews for public companies, private companies, audit committees, special committees, government entities, and counsel.

Christopher also helps clients identify and evaluate transaction risks early enough to make informed decisions and address issues while options remain available. He has conducted due diligence and quality-of-earnings engagements for buyers, lenders, investors, and private equity firms, helping surface accounting, compliance, operational, and financial issues that could affect transaction terms, risk allocation, mitigation strategies, or post-closing obligations.
