McCarthur Chatman,
Paralegal

Within the Schulz Trade Law team, McCarthur is recognized for his exceptional reliability and positive presence.

 

In his role as a Paralegal, his contributions are numerous:​

• He helps with client research efforts.

• He assists in organizing entry packets.

• He creates case timelines to assist Schulz Trade Law attorneys in building their legal arguments.

• He aids in sorting through historical documents and emails and compiling them into exhibit binders for the team.

• He proofreads and cite checks documents before they are distributed to clients, government agencies, and trade-related organizations.

• He takes the lead in creating and reviewing PowerPoints for speaking engagements held by Schulz Trade Law’s team members, as well as PowerPoints for client training sessions. McCarthur is responsible for drafting content, adding engaging hypothetical scenarios and examples, incorporating fun animations and transitions, adjusting formatting, and proofreading.

• He develops standard forms for letters, manual cover pages, government submissions, Excel sheet headers, etc., to ensure consistent formatting across all Schulz Trade Law templates.

• He is actively involved in Schulz Trade Law’s marketing efforts.

• He is a Certified Notary Public.

McCarthur graduated with an Associate's degree from Richland College. He also earned his Paralegal certificate from Texas A&M - Texarkana. Presently, he is studying to become a Licensed Customs Broker.

 

During his time off, McCarthur loves attending professional and collegiate basketball games, traveling, and spending time with family. He uses his passion for sports to live a healthy lifestyle by working out and playing sports.
